Viva Mexico City

Mexico City is famous for its Aztecs and more recent past, for its size and cultural diversity. The main square, Zocalo has the remarkable colonial buildings and also the Great Aztecs Pyramid, the Templo Mayor. The Indians often gather in its vicinity to trade and perform their dances. Further away from the Zocalo there are more monuments to the Mexican history and society, including a suburb of Xochimilco where the canals and raised fields are a reminder of the Aztecs farming methods.

Viva Mexico City

The Fine Arts Palace built at the start of the twentieth century is a concert hall and a theatre. Some of the things to admire in its Art Deco interior are the glass stage curtain depicting the Valley of Mexico and murals by Diego Rivera, Jose Orozco and David Siqueiros.
