Christina Jablonski News :: Coombabah Lakelands, Gold Coast
This collection of images shows the beauty of one of the Gold Coast reserves and conservation area. The site is popular with visitors who like jogging, cycling or just taking the short or long walks along the kilometres of tracks through the bush. There is lot to see on the way: wallabies and kangaroos feed in the long grasses or laze in the sun; sometimes a koala appear high in a gum tree; cicadas and frogs compete for attention of a passer by; and water birds waddle through the swamp in search of food. Vegetation is as diverse as the local wildlife: mangroves nurture and feed many species of fish; forested areas and grasses are a home to birds and animals. My favourite are swamps with the melaleuca trees reflecting in the still water.
